Toxocariasis as a public health problem in Ecuador

Abstract

This document was based on the collection of different bibliographies based on research on the topic, with the purpose of knowing its impact on public health, its characteristics, mechanisms of contagion to human beings, clinical manifestations, its prevention and the dissemination of information. to different populations, in order to avoid infection. Treatment schemes will be described, aspects to consider for prognosis and monitoring of detected cases. It will try to promote prevention, establishing epidemiological surveillance and promoting responsible care of pets and the prevention of environmental contamination.
