New technologies in tourism: proposal for the design of an intelligent cafeteria

Abstract

The digital revolution of the last decades and the development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have transformed the world economy, generating a new paradigm of supply and demand in which the structure of marketing channels and the value chain has changed. drastically, particularly in the tourism sector, offering new distribution channels and new business models. Economic development, technologies and computerization are essential for the management and administration processes of cities. Having efficient services of the highest quality, which take advantage of the use of new technologies, is a challenge in today's Cuban society. To exploit and take advantage of these technological advances combined with our tourism, this research aims to design a proposal for a gastronomic service, through the modern concept of smart cafeteria. For this, theoretical and empirical methods were used, such as bibliographic and documentary analysis, scientific observation, brainstorming, and interviews with tourism workers. The results obtained made possible the design of the proposal of an intelligent cafeteria, a service that is capable of satisfying the needs of the clients and that in turn feel identified with it.
