Proposal of actions to revitalize tourism in Artemisa, through ICT

Abstract

In recent years, information technologies have had a strong impact on the tourism sector. Innovation activities are very present, highlighting technological development and the digital field as the main advances that will allow the sector to continue with its great importance worldwide. The new communication technologies (ICT) have transformed the way tourists plan, reserve and live their experiences, thus causing great opportunities in marketing, they have achieved great benefits such as: knowing better the needs of customers, offering a better service delivery, reach a greater number of customers and optimize their resources, managing to increase their efficiency. Artemisa is one of the places to visit in Cuba, which does not stand out on the web, which is why it is an element that must be taken into account in order to increase the competitiveness of the destination and its corresponding management in the networks. The present investigation has as objective a proposal of actions for the use of the social networks of the Internet, in the promotion of Artemisa as a town of tourist interest. For this, different tools for obtaining information were used, such as: theoretical and empirical methods, which allowed the authors to reach the main results.
